त्रस्तान् कुन्तीसुतान् दृष्टवा द्रोणसायकपीडितान् । मतिमान् श्रेयसे युक्त: केशवो<र्जुनमब्रवीत्,कुन्तीके पुत्रोंको द्रोणाचार्यके बाणोंसे पीड़ित एवं भयभीत देखकर उनके कल्याणमें लगे हुए बुद्धिमान् भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनसे इस प्रकार कहा--
trastān kuntīsutān dṛṣṭvā droṇasāyakapīḍitān | matimān śreyase yuktaḥ keśavo 'rjunam abravīt ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు— ద్రోణుని బాణాలతో బాధపడుతూ భయంతో వణికుతున్న కుంతీపుత్రులను చూసి, వారి శ్రేయస్సును కోరే బుద్ధిమంతుడైన కేశవుడు అర్జునునితో ఇలా పలికాడు.
