Night engagement and the attempt to reach Droṇa
गजाश्वमनुजैर्भिन्नि: शोणिताक्तैश्व पत्रिभि: | तैस्तैश्व विविधैभिन्निस्तत्र तत्र वसुंधरा
gajāśvamanujair bhinnāḥ śoṇitāktaiś ca patribhiḥ | tais tais ca vividhair bhinnis tatra tatra vasuṃdharā ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—పడిపోయిన ఏనుగులు, గుర్రాలు, మనుష్యుల వల్ల చీలిపోయి, రక్తంతో మసకబారిన నానావిధ బాణాలతో పొడుచబడిన కారణంగా భూమి అనేక చోట్ల చిద్రమై ఉండెను; ఎక్కడ చూసినా నేల యుద్ధహింస ముద్రలతో గాయపడినట్లుండెను।
