अर्जुन उवाच यथा मे न वध: कार्य आचार्यस्य कदाचन

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca—rājan, yadā droṇācāryaḥ kiñcid antaraṃ kṛtvā rājānaṃ yudhiṣṭhiraṃ bandhanāya pratijajñe, tadā tava sainyāni yudhiṣṭhirasya grahaṇodyogaṃ śrutvā uccair uccaiḥ siṃhanādaṃ cakruḥ bhujān ca tāḍayām āsuḥ. bharatanandana, tasmin kāle dharmarājo yudhiṣṭhiraḥ śīghram eva svaviśvāsya-gūptacaraiḥ yathāyogaṃ sarvāḥ kathāḥ samyag avagacchat—kiṃ droṇācāryaḥ cikīrṣati iti.

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—రాజా! ద్రోణాచార్యుడు ఆలోచించి కొంత తేడా ఉంచి రాజు యుధిష్ఠిరుని పట్టుకొనెదనని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేసినప్పుడు, యుధిష్ఠిరుని బంధించుటకు జరుగుతున్న ప్రయత్నాన్ని విని మీ సైన్యం ఘోరంగా సింహనాదములు చేసి, ఉల్లాసంతో భుజములపై తట్టుకొనసాగెను. భరతవంశజా! ఆ సమయంలో ధర్మరాజు యుధిష్ఠిరుడు తన విశ్వసనీయ గూఢచారుల ద్వారా తగిన విధంగా త్వరగా సమస్త విషయములను తెలుసుకొని, భారద్వాజపుత్రుడు ద్రోణుడు ఏది చేయదలచెనో పూర్తిగా గ్రహించెను.
