गाढविद्धानरीन्‌ कृत्वा मार्गणै: सोडतितेजनै:

Transliteration

gāḍha-viddhān arīn kṛtvā mārgaṇaiḥ soḍati-tejanaiḥ

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—అసహ్యమైన, జ్వలించే తేజస్సుగల బాణాలతో అతడు శత్రువులను అంత లోతుగా గాయపరచి, వారు ఘోరంగా ఛిద్రమై పడిపోయేలా చేశాడు. ఆ క్రూర యుద్ధప్రవాహంలో పరాక్రమం సంయమంతో కాదు; గాయపరచి, అణచివేయగల శక్తితోనే కొలవబడింది.
