अदिद्धं तत्र नाद्राक्षं युयुधानस्य सायकै: । सर्दीसे पीड़ित हुई गायोंके समान आपकी सारी सेना वहीं चक्कर लगा रही थी। मैंने वहाँ एक भी पैदल, रथी, हाथी तथा सवारसहित घोड़ेको ऐसा नहीं देखा, जो युयुधानके बाणोंसे विद्ध न हुआ हो
adiddhaṁ tatra nādrākṣaṁ yuyudhānasya sāyakaiḥ |
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు— “అక్కడ యుయుధానుని బాణాలతో గాయపడని ఒక్క యోధుడినీ నేను చూడలేదు. మీ సేన అంతా అక్కడే దెబ్బతిని, మోహగ్రస్తమై, చుట్టూ తిరుగుతూ గందరగోళంలో పడింది—చలితో బాధపడే పశువుల్లా. అక్కడ కాలాళ్లలోనూ, రథుల్లోనూ, ఏనుగులలోనూ, అశ్వారోహుల్లోనూ యుయుధానుని శరాలతో విద్ధం కానివాడు ఎవడూ నాకు కనబడలేదు।”
