न चैव मापकं किंचिद्धृष्ट शंससि संजय । नित्यं पाण्डुसुतान् हृष्टानभग्नान् सम्प्रशंससि,परंतु सूत! तुमने अभीतक मेरे पक्षमें घटित हुई कोई हर्षकी बात नहीं कही है; उलटे पाण्डवोंको प्रतिदिन हर्षसे पूर्ण और अभग्न (अपराजित) बताते हो
na caiva māpakaṃ kiñcid dṛṣṭaṃ śaṃsasi saṃjaya | nityaṃ pāṇḍusutān hṛṣṭān abhagnān sampraśaṃsasi ||
ధృతరాష్ట్రుడు చెప్పెను—సంజయా, నా పక్షానికి అనుకూలంగా కనిపించిన ఏ విషయమూ నీవు చెప్పడం లేదు. ప్రతిరోజూ పాండవులను హర్షభరితులుగా, అభగ్నులుగా—అజేయులుగా—ప్రశంసిస్తూనే ఉన్నావు.
