Educational Q&A

Even in warfare, conduct is expected to follow nyāya (propriety and rule): rest is taken in due order, mutual honor is maintained, and then action resumes. The verse highlights a dharmic frame for conflict—discipline and respect do not vanish merely because opponents are about to fight.

After a pause or interval, the combatants have taken appropriate rest and exchanged formal courtesies; then they re-arm and are seen ready once more, intent on continuing the battle.
