अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः

ततो द्रोणो महाराज त्वरितो5भ्याययौ रणात् । तत्रापश्यन्महेष्वासो भारद्वाज: प्रतापवान्,महाराज! यह सुनते ही महाथनुर्थर प्रतापी भरद्वाजनन्दन द्रोणाचार्य तुरंत उस युद्धस्थलसे चलकर वहाँ आ पहुँचे। आकर उन महारथीने देखा कि धृष्टद्युम्म और भीमसेन उस महायुद्धमें विचर रहे हैं और आपके पुत्र मोहाविष्ट होकर पड़े हुए हैं
tato droṇo mahārāja tvarito 'bhyāyayau raṇāt | tatrāpaśyan maheṣvāso bhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān ||
మహారాజా, అది విన్న వెంటనే ప్రతాపవంతుడైన భారద్వాజనందనుడు, మహాధనుర్ధరుడు ద్రోణుడు యుద్ధరంగం వైపు వేగంగా దూసుకెళ్లి అక్కడి దృశ్యాన్ని చూశాడు.
