वारितो5सि मया तात मुनिभिरव्वेदपारगै: । मा गच्छ संयुगं तेन वासुदेवेन धन्विना

Transliteration

Bhīṣma uvāca |

Vārito ’si mayā tāta munibhir avvedapāragaiḥ |

Mā gaccha saṃyugaṃ tena Vāsudevena dhanvinā ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—తాత! వేదపారంగత మునులు కూడా, నేనూ నిన్ను హెచ్చరించాము—ఆ ధనుర్ధర వాసుదేవుని ఎదుట యుద్ధానికి పోకుము అని. అయినా మోహగ్రస్తుడై నీవు ఆ హితవచనాన్ని గౌరవించలేదు.
