भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

सृष्टवा संकर्षणं देवं स्वयमात्मानमात्मना । कृष्ण त्वमात्मनासाक्षी: प्रद्मुम्नं चात्मसम्भवम्
sṛṣṭvā saṅkarṣaṇaṃ devaṃ svayam ātmānam ātmanā | kṛṣṇa tvam ātmanā sākṣīḥ pradyumnaṃ cātma-sambhavam ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను— ఓ కృష్ణా! నీవు నీ ఆత్మద్వారా నీనే దివ్య సంకర్షణుడిగా అవతరింపజేసితివి; మరల నీ నుండే ఆత్మసంభవుడైన ప్రద్యుమ్నుని సృష్టించితివి. నీవే అంతర్యామి సాక్షి—స్వయంసిద్ధుడు, స్వయంభవుడు, నీ వికాసాలకే మూలకారణము.
