पार्थस्तु विष्टभ्य बलेन पादौ भीष्मान्तिकं तूर्णमभिद्रवन्तम् । बलान्निजग्राह हरिं किरीटी पदे5थ राजन् दशमे कथज्चित्,राजन! तब किरीटथारी अर्जुनने भीष्मके निकट बड़े वेगसे जाते हुए श्रीहरिके चरणोंको बलपूर्वक पकड़ लिया और किसी प्रकार दसवें कदमपर पहुँचते-पहुँचते उन्हें रोका
pārthas tu viṣṭabhya balena pādau bhīṣmāntikaṁ tūṛṇam abhidravantam | balān nijagrāha hariṁ kirīṭī pade daśame 'tha rājan kathaṁcit ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు— రాజా! అప్పుడు కిరీటధారి అర్జునుడు బలంగా పాదాలు నిలిపి, భీష్ముని వైపు వేగంగా దూసుకెళ్తున్న హరిని పాదాల వద్ద బలపూర్వకంగా పట్టుకున్నాడు. ఏదో విధంగా పదవ అడుగు పడకముందే ఆయనను ఆపగలిగాడు.
