sañjaya uvāca | pitāmaha nibodhedaṃ yat tvāṃ vakṣyāmi bhārata | nānurūpam ahaṃ manye tvayi jīvati kaurava ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు— పితామహా, ఓ భారతా, నేను చెప్పబోయేదాన్ని గ్రహించండి. ఓ కౌరవా, మీరు జీవించి ఉండగా మా సైన్యం పారిపోవడం నాకు తగినదిగా అనిపించదు.
