एषामन्तरविष्कम्भो योजनानि सहस्रश: । तत्र पुण्या जनपदास्तानि वर्षाणि भारत

sañjaya uvāca | eṣām antaraviṣkambho yojanāni sahasraśaḥ | tatra puṇyā janapadās tāni varṣāṇi bhārata ||

భరతనందనా, వీటి మధ్యనున్న విస్తీర్ణము వేల యోజనములు. ఆ విశాల పరిధిలో అనేక వర్ష-ఖండములు ఉన్నాయి; వాటిలో అనేక పవిత్ర జనపదములు, నివాసస్థానములు ఉన్నాయి.
