Five Elements, Sensory Qualities, and a Cosmographic Island
विहग: सुमुखो यस्तु सुपर्णस्यथात्मज: किल । स वै विचिन्तयामास सौवर्णान् वीक्ष्य वायसान्
vihaṅgaḥ sumukho yas tu suparṇasyātha ātmajaḥ kila | sa vai vicintayāmāsa sauvarṇān vīkṣya vāyasān ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను— ఒకప్పుడు సుపర్ణుడు (గరుడుడు) కుమారుడైన సుముఖుడు మేరుపర్వతంపై బంగారు దేహముల కాగులను చూచి ఆలోచించెను— ‘ఈ సుమేరు ఉత్తమ, మధ్యమ, అధమ పక్షుల మధ్య ఏ భేదమూ చేయదు; అందుచేత నేను దీనిని విడిచిపెట్టుదును.’ అని నిశ్చయించి అక్కడి నుండి ఇతరత్రా వెళ్లిపోయెను।
