Transliteration

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | ukto dvīpasya saṃkṣepo vidhivad buddhimaṃs tvayā | tattvajñaḥ asi sarvasya vistaraṃ brūhi sañjaya ||

Translation

ధృతరాష్ట్రుడు పలికెను—బుద్ధిమంతుడైన సంజయా! నీవు ఈ ద్వీపాన్ని విధివిధానంగా సంక్షేపంగా వివరించావు. కాని నీవు సర్వ తత్త్వాల జ్ఞాతవు; కాబట్టి, సంజయా, ఈ సమస్త ద్వీపాన్ని విస్తారంగా వివరించుము.
