Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
त्रासितेषु च सर्वेषु भीमेनाद्भुतकर्मणा । पुनरावर्तमानेषु विद्रवत्सु च सडूघश:,अद्भुतकर्मा भीमसेनके द्वारा भयभीत कर दिये जानेपर कलिंग देशके समस्त योद्धा जब दल बनाकर भागने और भाग-भागकर पुनः लौटने लगे, तब पाण्डव-सेनापति द्रपदकुमार धृष्टद्युम्नने अपने समस्त सैनिकोंसे कहा--“वीरो! (उत्साहके साथ) युद्ध करो”

punarāvartamāneṣu vidravat-su ca saṅghaśaḥ |
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—అద్భుతకర్ముడైన భీముని చేత అందరూ భయపడగా, కళింగ యోధులు గుంపులుగుంపులుగా పారిపోతూ, పారిపోయి మళ్లీ మళ్లీ తిరిగి వస్తుండగా; అప్పుడు పాండవసేనాధిపతి ద్రుపదపుత్రుడు ధృష్టద్యుమ్నుడు తన సమస్త దళములను ఉద్దేశించి ఇలా అన్నాడు—“వీరులారా, యుద్ధం చేయుడి!”
