महाव्यूह: कलिज्रानामेकेन मृदितस्त्वया । “आपने अकेले अपनी ही भुजाओंके बल और पराक्रमसे कलिंगोंके उस महान् व्यूहको रौंदकर मिट्टीमें मिला दिया
sañjaya uvāca | mahāvyūhaḥ kaliṅgānām ekena mṛditas tvayā |
“కలింగుల మహావ్యూహాన్ని నీవొక్కడివే చూర్ణం చేసి త్రొక్కివేశావు. నీ స్వబాహుబల-పరాక్రమాలతో, ఏనుగులు, గుర్రాలు, రథాలతో కిక్కిరిసిన ఆ ఘన సమూహాన్ని ఛేదించి ధ్వంసం చేసావు. అందులోని అనేకులు లోకప్రసిద్ధ మహాపురుషులుగా లెక్కింపబడినవారు; అసంఖ్య ధీరవీరులు ఆ మహావ్యూహాన్ని ఆశ్రయించారు.”
