भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः
त्वत्प्रसादं प्रतीक्षन्ते त्वद्भक्ताश्न विशाम्पते | 'भरतश्रेष्ठ) तुम शोक न करो। इस प्रकार शोक करना तुम्हारेयोग्य नहीं है। तुम्हारे शूरवीर भाई सम्पूर्ण लोकोंमें विख्यात धनुर्धर हैं। राजन! मैं भी तुम्हारा प्रिय करनेवाला ही हूँ। नृपश्रेष्ठ! महायशस्वी सात्यकि
tvatprasādaṁ pratīkṣante tvadbhaktāś ca viśāṁpate |
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—“ఓ విశాంపతే, వీరు నీ అనుగ్రహాన్ని ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు; వీరందరూ నీ భక్తులే. ఈ పర్షతుడు (ధృష్టద్యుమ్నుడు) నిత్యం నీ హితాన్ని కోరేవాడు, నీ ప్రీతికార్యాలలో నిమగ్నుడు.”
