रथे भीष्मस्य चिक्षेप यथा देवो धनेश्वर: । उधर श्वेतने क्रोधसे व्याप्त हो उस गदाको आकाशमें घुमाकर भीष्मके रथपर फेंक दिया, मानो कुबेरने गदाका प्रहार किया हो ।। ९२ ह ।। तया भीष्मनिपातिन्या स रथो भस्मसात्कृत:

Transliteration

rathe bhīṣmasya cikṣepa yathā devo dhaneśvaraḥ | tayā bhīṣmanipātinyā sa ratho bhasmasāt-kṛtaḥ ||

Translation

కోపంతో నిండిపోయి అతడు ఆ గదాను ఆకాశంలో తిప్పి భీష్ముని రథంపై విసిరాడు—ధనాధిపతి కుబేరుడు గదాప్రహారం చేసినట్లుగా. ఆ భీష్మ-నిపాతక దెబ్బతో ఆ రథం భస్మమైపోయింది.
