Arjuna’s Forward Drive Toward Bhīṣma
निघ्नतः समरे शत्रूज्शरै: संनतपर्वभि: । संजयने कहा--भरतश्रेष्ठ! संग्राममें युद्ध करते समय भीष्मके न तो धनुषके ही टुकड़े-टुकड़े हुए थे और न उनका रथ ही टूटा था। वे समरभूमिमें झुकी हुई गाँठवाले बाणोंद्वारा शत्रुओंका संहार करते जा रहे थे ।।

nighnataḥ samare śatrūñ śaraiḥ saṃnataparvabhiḥ |
భరతశ్రేష్ఠా! సంగ్రామంలో భీష్ముని ధనుస్సు చీలలేదు; రథమూ విరగలేదు. వంగిన సంధులు గల బాణాలతో అతడు శత్రువులను సంహరిస్తూనే ఉన్నాడు. రాజా! నీ అనేక శతసహస్ర మహారథులు, గజాశ్వసమేతంగా సన్నద్ధమై, పితామహుడు భీష్ముని ముందుంచి యుద్ధానికి ముందుకు సాగారు.
