Daśame’hani Bhīṣma-yuddham — Śikhaṇḍī-rakṣaṇa, Arjuna-prabhāva, Duryodhana-āśraya-vākyam

न क्षत्रिया रणे राजन्‌ वर्जयन्ति परस्परम्‌ | निर्मर्याद हि युध्यन्ते पितृभिर्श्रातृभि: सह,राजन! क्षत्रियलोग रणक्षेत्रमें आपसमें किसीको नहीं छोड़ते हैं। वे पिता और भाइयोंके साथ भी मर्यादाशून्यः होकर युद्ध करते हैं

sañjaya uvāca | na kṣatriyā raṇe rājan varjayanti parasparam | nirmaryādā hi yudhyante pitṛbhiḥ bhrātṛbhiḥ saha rājan |

హే రాజా! క్షత్రియులు యుద్ధంలో పరస్పరాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టరు; వారు మర్యాదను త్యజించి తండ్రులతోను సోదరులతోను కూడా యుద్ధం చేస్తారు.
