भीष्मवधोपाय-प्रश्नः (Inquiry into the means to overcome Bhīṣma) | Chapter 103
उस समय उन पराक्रमी द्रौपदीपुत्रोंद्वारा वह श्रेष्ठ राक्षस उसी प्रकार पीड़ित होने लगा, जैसे भयानक प्रलयकाल आनेपर चन्द्रमा पाँच ग्रहोंद्वारा पीड़ित होते हैं ।।
saṃjaya uvāca | tatra teṣāṃ parākrāntaiḥ draupadīputrair mahābalaiḥ sa śreṣṭho rākṣasaḥ pīḍito babhūva, yathā pralayakāle bhayānake candramāḥ pañcagrahaiḥ pīḍyate || prativindhyas tato rakṣo bibheda niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ | sarvapārśvataiḥ tūrṇair akuṇṭhāgrair mahābalaḥ ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—అప్పుడు ద్రౌపదీ పుత్రులైన పరాక్రమవంతులచే ఆ రాక్షసోత్తముడు తీవ్రంగా పీడింపబడెను; ప్రళయకాలం సమీపించగా చంద్రుడు ఐదు గ్రహాలచే పీడింపబడినట్లు. అనంతరం మహాబలుడు ప్రతివింధ్యుడు అన్ని వైపుల నుండీ వేగంగా దూసుకొచ్చే, ఇనుముతో చేసిన, మొన చెదరని పదునైన బాణాలతో ఆ రాక్షసుణ్ని చీల్చివేశెను.
