वज्रदत्तेन सह अर्जुनयुद्धम्
Arjuna’s engagement with Vajradatta during the Aśvamedha circuit
यह देख अर्जुनको बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। उन्होंने उस हाथीके ऊपर केंचुलसे निकले हुए सर्पोोके समान भयंकर तथा प्रज्वलित अग्निके तुल्य तेजस्वी बाणोंका प्रहार किया
tad dṛṣṭvā arjunasya mahān krodho 'bhavat | sa tasmin hastini kañculāt niṣkrāntān sarpān iva bhīṣaṇān prajvalitāgnitulya-tejasvinaḥ śarān prāharat |
ఇది చూచి అర్జునునికి మహాక్రోధం కలిగెను. అతడు ఆ ఏనుగుపై కంచులం విడిచి బయటకు వచ్చిన సర్పాలవలె భయంకరమైన, ప్రజ్వలిత అగ్నిసమానంగా ప్రకాశించే బాణాలను సంధించాడు।
