सुसंवीताभवद्‌ देवी देववत्‌ कृष्णमीयुषी । सा तथा दूयमानेन हृदयेन तपस्विनी

Transliteration

susaṃvītābhavad devī devavat kṛṣṇam īyuṣī | sā tathā dūyamānena hṛdayena tapasvinī ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— దేవతలవలె ప్రకాశిస్తూ, సుసంవీతగా ఉన్న ఆ దేవీ కృష్ణుని సమీపించింది; అయినా తపస్సు స్వభావముగల ఆమె హృదయం దుఃఖంతో దహించుచుండెను.
