विशीर्णबन्धने तस्मिन् गते कृष्णाजिने महीम्
viśīrṇabandhane tasmin gate kṛṣṇājine mahīm, vidaśyāsthen valmīkaṁ viveśātha sa kuṇḍale |
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—బంధనం చినిగి కృష్ణాజినం నేలపై పడగానే ఒక సర్పం దానిని గమనించింది. అది ఐరావత వంశజుడైన తక్షకుడు. మృగచర్మంలో దాచిన మణిమయ కుండలాలను చూసి, వాటిని పళ్లలో బిగించి వెంటనే ఒక వల్మీకంలోకి జారిపోయెను.
