Book 14, Chapter 43
पार्थिवो यस्तु गन्धो वै घप्राणेन हि स गृहाते । प्राणस्थश्न तथा वायुर्गन्धज्ञाने विधीयते
pārthivo yastu gandho vai ghrāṇena hi sa gṛhyate | prāṇasthaś ca tathā vāyur gandhajñāne vidhīyate ||
వాయుదేవుడు పలికెను—పృథివీ తత్త్వానికి చెందిన ‘గంధ’ గుణం ముక్కు ద్వారా గ్రహించబడుతుంది. అలాగే ఘ్రాణేంద్రియంలో స్థితమైన ప్రాణవాయువు ఆ గంధజ్ఞానాన్ని కలిగించుటకు నియమించబడినది.
