काम क्रोधं भयं लोभमभिद्रोहमथानृतम्‌ । इन्द्रियाणां निरोधेन सदा त्यजति दुस्त्यजान्‌,सदा इन्द्रियोंके निरोधसे मनुष्य काम, क्रोध, भय, लोभ, द्रोह और असत्य--इन सब दुस्तयज अवगुणोंको त्याग देता है

kāmaṁ krodhaṁ bhayaṁ lobham abhidroham athānṛtam | indriyāṇāṁ nirodhena sadā tyajati dustyajān ||

ఇంద్రియనిగ్రహాన్ని నిరంతరం ఆచరించుటవలన మనుష్యుడు కామము, క్రోధము, భయము, లోభము, ద్రోహము మరియు అసత్యము—ఈ దుర్త్యజ దోషములను సదా విడిచిపెట్టును.
