Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)
वायुदेव उवाच श्रावितस्त्वं मया गुह्ूं ज्ञापितश्न॒ सनातनम् | धर्म स्वरूपिणं पार्थ सर्वलोकांश्व शाश्वतान्
vāyudeva uvāca | śrāvitastvaṁ mayā guhyaṁ jñāpitaś ca sanātanam | dharma-svarūpiṇaṁ pārtha sarva-lokāṁś ca śāśvatān |
వాయుదేవుడు పలికెను—ఓ పార్థా! ఒకప్పుడు నేను నీకు అత్యంత గోప్యమైన ఉపదేశాన్ని వినిపించి, ధర్మస్వరూపమైన సనాతన పరమతత్త్వాన్ని గ్రహింపజేశాను; శాశ్వత లోకములనూ వివరించాను. కాని నీవు నీ అవివేకమువల్ల ఆ ఉపదేశాన్ని నిలుపుకోలేదు—అది నాకు అత్యంత అప్రీతికరం. ఇప్పుడు ఆ విషయములు సంపూర్ణంగా జ్ఞాపకమగుట సాధ్యమని అనిపించదు.
