Shloka 27

Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)

उपपन्नं च तत्सव॑॑ श्रुतचारित्रसंयुतम्‌ । भावेनातोषयच्चैनं गुरुवृत्त्या परंतप:

Transliteration

upapannaṃ ca tat sarvaṃ śrutacāritrasaṃyutam | bhāvenātoṣayac cainaṃ guruvṛttyā paraṃtapaḥ ||

Translation

ఆ ముని శ్రుతిజ్ఞానంతోను సద్ఆచారంతోను సముపేతుడై, సమస్తంగా యోగ్యుడై ఉన్నాడు. పరంతపుడైన కాశ్యపుడు గురువృత్తితో, హృదయభావంతో సేవచేసి అతనిని సంతృప్తిపరిచాడు.
