पूर्वराजाभिपन्नांश्व॒ पालयत्येव पाण्डव: । 'ये पृथ्वीनाथ पाण्डुपुत्र युधिष्ठिर अपने दिये हुए तथा पहलेके राजाओंद्वारा अर्पित किये गये ब्राह्मणोंके लिये दातव्य अग्रहारों (दानमें दिये गये ग्रामों) तथा पारिबहाँ (पुरस्कारमें दिये गये ग्रामों)-की भी रक्षा करते ही हैं

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca — pūrvarājābhipannāṁś ca pālayaty eva pāṇḍavaḥ |

Translation

పాండవుడు యుధిష్ఠిరుడు పూర్వ రాజులు అర్పించినవీ, తాను ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేసినవీ అయిన బ్రాహ్మణపోషణార్థం ఇచ్చిన అగ్రహారాలు, పురస్కారరూప గ్రామదానాలను కూడా నిశ్చయంగా కాపాడుతాడు—పూర్వదానాల గౌరవాన్ని అక్షుణ్ణంగా నిలుపుతాడు.
