arjunaṃ ca samāśliṣya yamau ca puruṣarṣabhau
The verse highlights the ethical force of kinship and solidarity: even in a renunciant, post-war atmosphere, dharma is sustained through compassion, mutual support, and the reaffirmation of familial bonds among those who share responsibility for past actions and future conduct.
Yudhiṣṭhira physically embraces Arjuna and the twin brothers (Nakula and Sahadeva). The gesture signals closeness and unity, preparing the ground for what he is about to say, and reflecting the emotional and moral weight characteristic of the Āśramavāsika episodes.
