धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas
यच्चाहं वासुदेवस्य नाऔ्रैषं वाक्यमर्थवत्
yac cāhaṃ vāsudevasya nāśrauṣaṃ vākyam arthavat
ధృతరాష్ట్రుడు పలికెను: “మరియు నేను వాసుదేవుని అర్థవంతమైన ఉపదేశాన్ని వినలేదు.” ఈ ఒప్పుకోలులో అతడు తన నైతిక వైఫల్యాన్ని అంగీకరిస్తున్నాడు—ధర్మానుగుణమైన జ్ఞానవాక్యాన్ని నిర్లక్ష్యం చేసి వినాశనానికి దారి వేసి, ఇప్పుడు పశ్చాత్తాప భారాన్ని మోస్తున్నాడు.
