ऑपनआक्रा बछ। अं क्जज अष्टादशो< ध्याय: पाण्डवोंका स्त्रियोंसहित निराश लौटना, कुन्तीसहित गान्धारी और धृतराष्ट्र आदिका मार्गमें गंगातटपर निवास करना वैशम्पायन उवाच कुन्त्यास्तु वचन श्रुत्वा पाण्डवा राजसत्तम । व्रीडिता: संन्यवर्तन्त पाउचाल्या सहिता5नघा:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--नृपश्रेष्ठ कुन्तीकी बात सुनकर निष्पाप पाण्डव बहुत लज्जित हुए और द्रौपदीके साथ वहाँसे लौटने लगे

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | Kuntīyās tu vacanaṃ śrutvā pāṇḍavā rājasattama | vrīḍitāḥ saṃnyavartanta pāñcālyā sahitā anaghāḥ ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఓ రాజశ్రేష్ఠా! కుంతీ వాక్యాన్ని విని నిష్పాప పాండవులు లజ్జతో కుంగిపోయి, పాంచాలీ (ద్రౌపది)తో కలిసి అక్కడి నుండి తిరిగి మళ్లారు.
