इति बाष्पकला वाच: कुन्ती पुत्रस्य शृण्वती | सा जगामाश्रुपूर्णाक्षी भीमस्तामिदमब्रवीत्,अपने पुत्रके ये अश्रुगदूगद वचन सुनकर दुन्तीके नेत्रोंमें आँसू उमड़ आये तो भी वे रुक न सकीं। आगे बढ़ती ही गयीं। तब भीमसेनने उनसे कहा--
iti bāṣpakalā vācaḥ kuntī putrasya śṛṇvatī | sā jagāmāśrupūrṇākṣī bhīmas tām idam abravīt |
కుమారుని కన్నీళ్లతో గద్గదమైన మాటలు విని కుంతీ కన్నులు అశ్రువులతో నిండిపోయాయి; అయినా ఆమె ఆగలేదు, ముందుకు సాగుతూనే ఉన్నది. అప్పుడు భీమసేనుడు ఆమెతో ఇలా అన్నాడు.
