छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जमदम्नेश्व संवाद सूर्यस्य च महात्मन: । पुरा स भगवान् साक्षाद्धनुषाक्रीडयत् प्रभो
jamadagneś ca saṃvādaḥ sūryasya ca mahātmanaḥ | purā sa bhagavān sākṣād dhanuṣā krīḍayat prabho, ānīya sā tadā tasmai prādād asakṛd acyuta |
ప్రభో! ఈ విషయములో మహర్షి జమదగ్ని మరియు మహాత్ముడు భగవాన్ సూర్యుని మధ్య జరిగిన ప్రాచీన సంభాషణ వర్ణించబడుతుంది. పూర్వకాలంలో పూజ్యుడైన జమదగ్ని స్వయంగా ధనుర్విద్యా క్రీడలో నిమగ్నుడై ఉండెను. ఆ సమయంలో ఆయన భార్య రేణుక పదేపదే ఆ బాణాలను తెచ్చి ఆయనకు మళ్లీ అందించేది.
