Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

वसिष्ठ उवाच नैतस्थेह यथास्माकमग्निहोत्रमनिर्ठठतम्‌ । सायं प्रातश्न होतव्यं तेन पीवाउ्छुना सह

Vasiṣṭha uvāca: na etat stheha yathāsmākam agnihotram aniṣṭhitam | sāyaṃ prātaś ca hotavyaṃ tena pīvā ucchunā saha ||

వసిష్ఠుడు అన్నాడు—“మాకు ఉన్నట్లుగా ఇతనికి ఈ చింత లేదు—ఈ రోజు అగ్నిహోత్రం చేయలేదు, సాయంకాలం మరియు ప్రాతఃకాలం తప్పక హోమం చేయాలి అని. అందుకే కుక్కతో కలిసి ఉండి బాగా పుష్టిగా అయ్యాడు.”
