Saudāsa–Vasiṣṭha on the Purifying Power of Cows
गोप्रदानात् तारयते सप्त पूर्वास्तथा परान् | सुवर्ण दक्षिणां कृत्वा तावदद्विगुणमुच्यते
gopradānāt tārayate sapta pūrvās tathā parān | suvarṇa-dakṣiṇāṁ kṛtvā tāvad adviguṇam ucyate ||
పితామహుడు పలికెను—గోదానం వలన మనిషి తన ఏడు పూర్వపితృలను, అలాగే తరువాత వచ్చే ఏడు తరాలను కూడా తరింపజేస్తాడని చెప్పబడింది. ఆ దానానికి స్వర్ణదక్షిణను కలిపితే, దాని పుణ్యఫలం రెండింతలని ప్రకటించబడింది॥
