Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
सर्वसत्रैश्न यजते यस्तिलैर्यजते पितृन् | न चाकामेन दातव्यं तिलश्राद्धं कदाचन
bhīṣma uvāca | sarvasatraiś ca yajate yas tilair yajate pitṝn | na cākāmena dātavyaṃ tilaśrāddhaṃ kadācana ||
తిలలతో పితృదేవతలను పూజించేవాడు సమస్త యజ్ఞాలను చేసినవాడితో సమానం. అయితే తిల-శ్రాద్ధాన్ని ఎప్పుడూ నిరుద్దేశ్యంగా, నిర్లక్ష్యభావంతో చేయరాదు; సంకల్పంతో, శ్రద్ధతోనే చేయాలి.
