Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
उपतिष्ठति कौन्तेय रौप्पकाउ्चन भूषितम् । शकटं दम्यसंयुक्तं दत्त भवति चैव हि,कुन्तीकुमार! जो नये बैलोंसे युक्त शकट दान करता है, उसे चाँदी और सोनेसे जटित रथ प्राप्त होता है
upatiṣṭhati kaunteya raupyakāñcana-bhūṣitam | śakaṭaṁ damya-saṁyuktaṁ dattaṁ bhavati caiva hi ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఓ కౌంతేయా! శిక్షణ పొందిన కొత్త ఎద్దులతో జూదిన బండిని దానమిచ్చినవానికి ఫలంగా వెండి-బంగారాలతో అలంకరించిన రథము లభించును.
