कथं पुत्रानतिक्रम्य तेषां नप्तृष्पथाभवत्‌ । एष दोष: सुतान्‌ हित्वा तत्त्वं व्याख्यातुमहसि,राजा कुशिक और महर्षि ऋचीक--ये ही अपने-अपने वंशके प्रवर्तक थे। उनके पुत्र गाधि और जमदग्निको लाँधकर उनके पौत्र विश्वामित्र और परशुराममें ही यह विजातीयताका दोष क्‍यों आया? इसमें जो यथार्थ कारण हो, उसकी व्याख्या कीजिये

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |

kathaṃ putrān atikramya teṣāṃ naptṝṣv apathābhavat |

eṣa doṣaḥ sutān hitvā tattvaṃ vyākhyātum arhasi |

Translation

యుధిష్ఠిరుడు అన్నాడు— వారి కుమారులను దాటివేసి ఈ విపరీతత వారి మనుమలలో ఎలా ఏర్పడింది? కుమారులను వదిలి మనుమలలోనే ఈ దోషం కనిపిస్తోంది. దీని నిజమైన కారణాన్ని మీరు వివరించవలసినది—దయచేసి చెప్పండి.
