Cyavana Explains His Tests; Kuśika Seeks Brāhmaṇya for His Line (च्यवन–कुशिक संवादः)

कौतूहलं मे सुमहज्जामदग्न्यं प्रति प्रभो । राम॑ धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठ तन्‍्मे व्याख्यातुमहसि,प्रभो! धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ जमदग्निनन्दन परशुरामजीके विषयमें मेरा कौतूहल बढ़ा हुआ है; अतः आप मेरे प्रश्चका विशद विवेचन कीजिये

kautūhalaṁ me sumahaj jāmadagnyaṁ prati prabho | rāma dharmabhṛtāṁ śreṣṭha tan me vyākhyātum arhasi prabho ||

యుధిష్ఠిరుడు పలికెను—ప్రభో! జామదగ్న్య రాముని (పరశురాముని) విషయమున నా మనస్సులో అత్యంత గొప్ప కౌతూహలము కలిగింది. ధర్మధారులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడవైన రామా! ప్రభో, దానిని నాకు స్పష్టముగా వివరించుము.
