तपोधन! अबतक तो इस धर्मके मार्गका पालन नहीं हुआ और समय निकल गया, परंतु अब आपके सहयोग और कृपासे इसका पालन करूँगा। अत: आप मुझे आज्ञा प्रदान करें कि मैं आपकी क्या सेवा करूँ ।। भीष्म उवाच अथासनमुपादाय च्यवनस्य महामुने: । कुशिको भार्यया सार्थमाजगाम यतो मुनि:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atha āsanam upādāya cyavanasya mahāmuneḥ | kuśiko bhāryayā sārtham ājagāma yato muniḥ ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు అన్నాడు—అప్పుడు కుశికుడు మహాముని చ్యవనునికి ఆసనం తీసుకొని, భార్యతో కలిసి ముని ఉన్న చోటికి వెళ్లాడు.
