ब्राह्मणानां सतामेष ब्राह्मो धर्मो युधिष्ठिर । आवाह्गामावहेदेवं यो दद्यादनुकूलत:

Transliteration

brāhmaṇānāṃ satām eṣa brāhmo dharmo yudhiṣṭhira | āvāhāgāmāvah edeṃvaṃ yo dadyād anukūlataḥ ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు అన్నాడు— ఓ యుధిష్ఠిరా! సద్బ్రాహ్మణుల బ్రాహ్మ ధర్మం ఇదే: గౌరవంతో ఆహ్వానించి సత్కరించి స్వీకరించినవానికి, అతనికి అనుకూలంగా మరియు హితకరంగా దానం చేయాలి.
