तथा ब्रूहि महाभाग कुरूणां वंशवर्धन । यदि शक्या कुरुश्रेष्ठ रक्षा तासां कदाचन ।।

Transliteration

tathā brūhi mahābhāga kurūṇāṁ vaṁśavardhana | yadi śakyā kuruśreṣṭha rakṣā tāsāṁ kadācana || kartuṁ vā kṛtapūrvā vā tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||

Translation

అందువల్ల, ఓ మహాభాగా, కురువంశవర్ధనా! చెప్పుము—ఏ కాలంలోనైనా ఏ విధంగా అయినా ఆ స్త్రీల రక్షణ సాధ్యమైతే, ఓ కురుశ్రేష్ఠా, దాని ఉపాయాన్ని నాకు వివరించుము. అలాగే ఇంతకు ముందు ఎక్కడైనా అటువంటి రక్షణ జరిగి ఉంటే, ఆ పూర్వదృష్టాంతాన్ని కూడా నాకు విస్తారంగా చెప్పుము.
