पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
वासयेत गृहे राजन् न तस्मात् परमस्ति वै । राजन! विशुद्ध जातिसे युक्त तथा तीक्ष्ण व्रतका पालन करनेवाले धर्मज्ञ ब्राह्मणको अपने घरमें ठहराना चाहिये। इससे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई पुण्यकर्म नहीं है

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—హే రాజా! తన ఇంటిలో అతిథికి నివాసం కల్పించాలి; దానికన్నా గొప్ప పుణ్యం లేదు. ముఖ్యంగా విశుద్ధ వంశజుడై, కఠిన వ్రతాచరణలో స్థిరుడై, ధర్మజ్ఞుడైన బ్రాహ్మణునికి గృహవాసం ఇవ్వడం—దానికన్నా శ్రేష్ఠమైన పుణ్యకర్మ మరొకటి లేదు.
