न सा प्रीतिर्दिविष्ठस्थ सर्वकामानुपाश्रत: । सम्भवेद्‌ या परा प्रीतिर्गड्राया: पुलिने नृूणाम्‌,गंगाजीके तटपर निवास करनेसे मनुष्योंको जो परम प्रीति--अनुपम आनन्द मिलता है वह स्वर्गमें रहकर सम्पूर्ण भोगोंका अनुभव करनेवाले पुरुषको भी नहीं प्राप्त हो सकता

na sā prītir diviṣṭhasthaḥ sarvakāmānupāśrataḥ | sambhaved yā parā prītir gaṅgāyāḥ puline nṛṇām ||

స్వర్గంలో ఉండి సమస్త భోగాలను అనుభవించే వాడికీ, గంగ పులినతీరంలో నివసించే మనుష్యులకు కలిగే ఆ పరమ ప్రీతి లభించదు; అది స్వర్గసుఖాలకన్నా ఉన్నతమైన ఆనందం।
