वर्तमाने<ब्रवीद् वाक््यं साम्नि ह्युच्चारिते मया । रथन्तरे द्विजश्रेष्ठ न सम्यगिति वर्तते
vartamāne 'bravīd vākyam sāmni hy uccārite mayā | rathantare dvijaśreṣṭha na samyag iti vartate ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—నేను సామగానము చేస్తుండగా, నా ద్వారా సామము ఉచ్చరింపబడిన తరువాత అతడు ఇలా అన్నాడు—“ఓ ద్విజశ్రేష్ఠా! రథంతర సామపాఠము సమ్యకంగా సాగడం లేదు.”
