Educational Q&A

The verse sets the ethical frame: authoritative dharma-instruction is delivered in a sanctified setting by a figure recognized as foremost among the righteous. It emphasizes that moral guidance for rulers should be grounded in the testimony of sages and exemplars of disciplined conduct.

After preceding events, Paraśurāma rises and stands among the sages, radiant like the sun, and begins to address Yudhiṣṭhira. It is a transition into a discourse or counsel directed to the dharma-minded king.
