आदित्या वसवो रुद्रा: साश्रिन: पितरो5डपि च । धर्म: श्रुत॑ तपो दीक्षा व्यवसाय: पितामह:
ādityā vasavo rudrāḥ sāśrinaḥ pitaro ’pi ca | dharmaḥ śrutaṃ tapo dīkṣā vyavasāyaḥ pitāmahaḥ ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఆదిత్యులు, వసువులు, రుద్రులు, అశ్వినీకుమారులు, పితృదేవతలు; అలాగే ధర్మము, శ్రుతి (వేదము), తపస్సు, దీక్ష, వ్యవసాయం (దృఢ సంకల్పము) మరియు పితామహుడు—ఇవన్నీ మమ్మల్ని రక్షించుగాక.
