अवराणां समानानां शिष्याणां च समाचरेत् । पापमाचक्षते नित्यं हृदयं पापकर्मिण:
avarāṇāṁ samānānāṁ śiṣyāṇāṁ ca samācaret | pāpam ācakṣate nityaṁ hṛdayaṁ pāpakarmiṇaḥ ||
భీష్ముడు చెప్పెను—తక్కువ స్థితివారు, సమానులు, లేదా శిష్యులు—వారితో ‘నీవు’ అని అనౌపచారికంగా మాట్లాడడంలో దోషం లేదు. అయితే పాపకర్మి మనిషి హృదయమే అతని పాపాన్ని నిత్యం వెలికి తీస్తుంది।
